Our 182-acre “classroom” is rich with diverse habitats, including streams, forests, wetlands, beaver ponds, and open meadows. This three-week series runs weekly on Thursday afternoons. $30 members; $45 public. Pre-registration is required and the price includes all three weeks. Program designed for children ages 5-13. Lee White Maritime Museum in a safe environment by making a reservation ahead of time.Each reservation will be in a timed entry format of 15 minutes per family social distancing incorporated. For photos, children will sit on low benches in front of the Claus’ with the Museum’s festively decorated holiday tree. Masks will be required for all visitors ages 3 and above. // This event inclues: packaged homemade cookies, a craft for each child to take home and admission to the museum for your entire family. Themed trees and decorations have been placed throughout the museum and this year’s train display features the British London Midland Scotland Railways and is presented courtesy of Fred Reagan of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association. // $10 fee per family with each reservation. The Albany Symphony presents a reimagined Beethoven Birthday Bash, which will include breath-taking pieces that fully celebrate the legendary composer and his 250th birthday on Saturday, December 12 at 7:30pm. The event will be streamed from The Palace Theatre. // This concert begins with Beethoven's Overture & Finale to The Creatures of Prometheus and ends with Symphony No. 1. The evening also includes Michael Torke’s Ash, composed in 1988 for orchestra or chamber orchestra, and Viet Cuong’s Extra (Ordinarily) Fancy, a fun and uplifting piece for two oboes. // The 2020-2021 season continues to run through the American Music Festival in June. The World Peace Temple at Kadampa Meditation Center New York is open, free to the public Christmas Eve, Christmas Day 2020 and New Year's Day 2021.
Temple Grounds and Nature Walking Trails are open from 9:00 AM - Dusk.

Washington Park comes alive with a spectacular display of Christmas-themed light art installations. Drive through the park and be prepared to be mesmerized by the massive colorful, blinking Santas, reindeer, nutcracker dolls, and more. In addition to the drive, folks willing to brave the cold can attend a special Charity Walk Night, Bike (bicycle) Night and a Pet Walk Night.

Daniel Schroeder (b. 1991) is a painter who lives and works near Albany, New York. He was awarded a full tuition scholarship to The Cooper Union, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, and his work is in private collections around the country, as well as in the collection of the Albany Institute of Art.

Each year the Erie Canal Museum transforms into a festive 1800’s canal town street scene with gingerbread creations on display in storefront windows. // Before or after you visit the Gingerbread Gallery, be sure to explore the rest of the Museum. We share 200 years of Erie Canal history through exhibits and original artifacts. A visit to the Museum includes a full-size replica canal boat, exhibits about Erie Canal commerce and communities, the award-winning Locktender’s Garden, and the 1850 National Register Weighlock Building. // Admission to the Museum, which includes the Gingerbread Gallery, is $10 for adults, $7 for seniors (65+), $4 for children 3-17, and free for children 2 & younger.
