Start the New Year in a meaningful, auspicious way. Stroll around the Kadampa Buddhist World Peace Temple. Buddhists believe that walking around a Temple that houses a statue of Buddha brings great good fortune. It is called ‘circumambulating’ and is usually done in a clockwise directijavascript:checkForm()on.
The World Peace Temple at Kadampa Meditation Center in upstate New York Sullivan County Catskills is open on New Year's weekend. FREE Temple Tours 1:30PM - 4:00PM. The Temple meditation room is available to visitors for a Free tour or personal meditation practice. The Temple is one of five Kadampa Temples around the world.
