Iroquois Indian Museum
The museum also has a children’s museum, a performance space for traditional and contemporary Iroquois music and dance and a 45-acre nature park...
Dedicated to fostering understanding of Iroquois culture, the Iroquois Indian Museum uses Iroquois art as a window to that culture. Housed in a Great Iroquois Longhouse, the museum serves as a venue for promoting Iroquois art and artists and hosts events celebrating the Iroquois culture and history.
In addition, the museum has a children’s museum, a performance space for traditional and contemporary Iroquois music and dance and a 45-acre nature park with both long and short trails for exploring and observing wildlife and hosts guided and self-guided tours. It is a great park for birding and also houses two 19th-century log homes moved from Six Nations Reserve, Ontario, and rebuilt by a Mohawk construction company.
