Maren Morris stops at Chevy Court at the 2018 Great New York State Fair on Labor Day, Monday, September 3 for a 1 p.m. show.

Texas-born Morris performed all over the state in her teenaged years. She moved to Nashville at age 20, writing songs for artists such as Tim McGraw and Kelly Clarkson and scoring gigs opening for Little Big Town, Loretta Lynn, and Chris Stapleton, among others. The single, “My Church,” from her major-label debut album, rocketed up the country charts and earned her a Grammy award for Best Solo Country Performance along with nominations for Best New Artist, Best Country Album and Best Country Song.

This four-day free event is the oldest and largest balloon event on the East Coast set against the backdrop of the beautiful Adirondack Mountains.

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum opens its doors free of charge to all Museum Day ticketholders as part of Smithsonian magazine’s 14th annual Museum Day, a national celebration of boundless curiosity in which participating museums emulate the free admission policy at the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based museums.

The theme of this year’s Museum Day is Women Making History and the H. Lee White Maritime Museum will be featuring the “Charles & Anne Morrow Lindbergh Collection” courtesy of Oswego’s own Patricia Cole. The collection contains items representative of Charles Lindbergh’s place in American history, but more prominently features the life of Anne Morrow Lindbergh – an unsung pioneer in her own right. In addition, visitors are encouraged to explore the more than 400 years of maritime history contained within the Museum, and take tours of their historic fleet of vessels, free of charge.

Museum Day tickets are available for download at Smithsonian.com/MuseumDay. Visitors who present a Museum Day ticket will gain free entrance for two at participating venues on September 22, 2018. One ticket is permitted per email address.

In existence for more than 30 years, the Oswego Music Hall offers mostly acoustical musicians every other Saturday night from September to June. On concert evenings, a large empty hall is transformed into an intimate venue replete with candlelit tables, professional staging and sound; as well as an array of freshly baked desserts, hot cider and freshly brewed coffee.

This week, tap your feet to the sounds of Stuart Fuchs' ukelele wizardry and musical virtuosity on guitar, Native American flute and didjeridoo. Fuchs will be joined by Sarah Carlisle on upright bass & mandolin. Stuart Fuchs is an accomplished classical & jazz guitarist and a consumate entertainer with his uplifting, soulful and often hilarious blend of jazz, world music, poetry and storytelling.

Nightmare Hayride is a 25-minute tractor drawn hayride that will lead you down a creepy haunted path with live scary creatures. But that's not all of the frightening fun! You will then have to make your way through the Gothic Chamber, Haunted Wooden Maze, and through the Haunted Barn with the Vortex Tunnel.

Nightmare Hayride also offers a cook shack which serves up some spooktacular food!

There are seven tractors running continuously, so no reservation is needed. There is a cost for admission (children 5 and under are free) and gives you access to all the haunted attractions.

The Naples Grape Festival is held at the Naples High School Grounds and across the street at Memorial Town Hall from 10am till 5pm, rain or shine. Come and enjoy wine, food, arts, crafts and local/regional music. Bake a pie for the World's Greatest Grape Pie Contest and sample every thing "grape" that the valley has to offer.

Come see the Super DIRTcar Series take on the famed 5/8 mile, where the likes of Mario Andretti and Gordon Johncock have raced. 600 loads of clay will turn the paved surface to a racing surface suited for the Super DIRTcar Series Big Block Modifieds. DIRTcar Racing is pleased to announce that Billy Whittaker Cars and Trux has signed on as the title sponsor of NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week’s Big-Block Modified main event, now called the Billy Whittaker Cars 200. The Super DIRTcar Series Big-Block Modified crown-jewel event on Sunday, October 7, will feature more than 40 competitors, all trying to etch their name in the history books as NAPA Super DIRT Week champions and take home the $50,000 winner’s check.

There are two fun-filled parks, a corn maze, rides through the forest, pedal karts and tricycle race track, pony rides, petting zoo and more.
