Where else in the United States can you be transported through some of the most picturesque land and waterscapes on earth and into a magical world of islands, castles and mystical natural beauty? Follow Eastern Lake Ontario's historic Seaway Trail by Car, boat or bike, and flow seamlessly into the 1000 Islands region, where the enchantment begins ..

Waterfront villages  including Clayton,  Alexandria Bay, Henderson and Sacketts Harbor are filled with enticing restaurants, curious shops, and amazing views of the islands where visitors can stroll historic streets and take in the culture and allure of the “river life.” Dubbed the “Recreational Boating Capital of the World,” the Area abounds with water adventures ranging from fishing charters  to boat tours of NY State's most revered attraction Boldt Castle,  and more.

An Eastern limb  of the 518 mile Seaway Trail  highway hugs the coast of Lake Ontario between Rochester to the south, and Alexandria Bay to the north. Along this fascinating route, you'll discover an enduring history told by local villages and port cities, historic lighthouses and cultural heritage sites.

Public beaches and several nearby campgrounds  are located along Lake Ontario's picturesque coastline, which provide the perfect backdrop for a magical vacation or visit. There, you can lounge and play on white sand, swim in the natural fresh waters, enjoy hiking & biking, and savor some of the most Romantic Sunsets on the Planet.
