Where else in the United States can you travel through some of the most picturesque landscapes on earth and arrive at a magical world of islands, castles, powerfully romantic waterfalls, historic lighthouses, and mystical sunsets? Begin the adventure by following the Seaway Trail  by Car, boat, or bike - and flow seamlessly between different highlights that populate the Region ..

In the North, the historic waterfront villages of Clayton, Alexandria Bay, Sackets Harbor, and Henderson  fill the Thousand Islands with enticing restaurants, curious shops, and amazing views of the Great Lake where visitors can stroll historic streets and take in the culture and allure of the “river life.” Dubbed the 'recreational boating capitol of the world,' this Northern portion of the Region abounds with nautical adventures ranging from fishing charters to boat tours of the famed Boldt Castle

Along the Southern portion, you'll find world-famous sunsets in the City of Oswego, which is home to historic Fort Ontario, and in the town of Pulaski, you can fish for Championship Trout and Salmon along the Salmon River. The lakes, tributaries and streams in Oswego County  are known around the World for excellent fishing, and the Area holds 8 World records  for the largest Salmon, Trout and Red Horse ever caught. Local Charter boats  run fishermen to exciting 'hot spots' around Lake Ontario during the Summer months.

Public beaches  and several nearby campgrounds  along the Great Lakes' picturesque coastlines provide the perfect backdrop for a magical vacation or visit. There, you can lounge and play on white sand, swim in the natural fresh waters, enjoy hiking & biking, and spend precious time with the Family.
