A pioneer hip hop artist who has been dubbed “the most sampled hip-hop artist in history” is coming to The Great New York State Fair this summer. Slick Rick is set to take the Suburban Park stage at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26.

Earlier this year, Slick Rick, born as Ricky Martin Lloyd Walters, was honored with one of the most prestigious accolades, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. With his British accent, witty lyrics spoken through a leisurely cadence, and nasally voice, Slick Rick has one of the most recognizable voices in hip hop. His legendary lyrics, star power, and fashion sense has also inspired some of the most popular artists in the genre today, including JAY-Z, Eminem, and Idris Elba.

All concerts in the Chevrolet Music Series are free with Fair admission.
