Visit the Kadampa World Peace Temple in Glen Spey, NY for our 14th Annual Fun Fair on Saturday July 8th 11 a.m.- 5 p.m. Everyone is invited to this Free community extravaganza Fun Fair Festival featuring a children's activity area, rummage sale, fresh vegetarian food and juice bar, artist vendors, music, tours of the World Peace Buddhist Temple, hiking trails, picnic area and a variety of activities for people of all ages and backgrounds. Vendor spaces available.
Named River Reporter’s “Best Meditation Center,” spend the entire day relaxing and exploring the 82 acres of natural beauty including three onsite nature trails. Inside the World Peace Temple drop into a guided meditation and temple tour offered hourly throughout the fair or peruse the gift shop and Buddhist Bookstore. The World Peace Cafe & Espresso Bar, located in the Lodge, features organic, locally roasted coffee and will be offering gourmet desserts and treats as well as views of the pristine natural surroundings.
Visitors are also welcome to make a weekend of it to fully experience all that the Kadampa World Peace Temple has to offer. On Sunday attend a meditation class and teaching called “Prayers for World Peace” (by donation) held from 11:00 a.m – 12:30 p.m. At 1:00 p.m.. will be a community vegetarian lunch ($7). Take an additional day to explore the beautiful grounds onsite.
