The current plague has prohibited personal visit to the Village this season. However, it is reported that Queen Victoria, Charles Dickens, Mr. Ebenezer Scrooge, and various surprise guests will populate the festivities on the ethereal plane of Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/pages/category/Festival/Dickens-Christmas-in-Skaneateles-196751397960/) and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/p/CGi4PDRF9bB/) realms! Please join the fun of A Distant Dickens Christmas hosted by the Skaneateles Foundation! Please check the website for dates and times.

This larger-than-life Christmas celebration opens the day after Thanksgiving with the World's Smallest Christmas Parade. Charles Dickens and his entourage will meander down Fennell Street to Jordan Street to Genesee Street, ending on the porch of the Hannum House. // Dickens Christmas continues every Saturday and Sunday, noon to 4 p.m., through Dec. 22, with an abbreviated production (noon to 2:30 p.m.) Dec. 24. Merriment for the whole family: scenes from "A Christmas Carol," sing-alongs, musical and other entertainment, horse-drawn carriage rides, and appearances by Queen Victoria, Scrooge, Father Christmas, Mother Goose and a cast of more than 50 characters. Interactive street theater at its best—and great shopping throughout the village.
