Alice Cooper pioneered a grandly theatrical brand of hard rock that was designed to shock. Drawing equally from horror movies, vaudeville, and garage rock, the group created a stage show that featured electric chairs, guillotines, fake blood and boa constrictors. He continues to tour regularly, performing shows worldwide with the dark and horror-themed theatrics that he’s best known for.

In existence for more than 30 years, the Oswego Music Hall offers mostly acoustical musicians every other Saturday night from September to June. On concert evenings, a large empty hall is transformed into an intimate venue replete with candlelit tables, professional staging and sound; as well as an array of freshly baked desserts, hot cider and freshly brewed coffee.

This week, Chris Proctor takes the Oswego Music Hall stage. Playing fingerstyle guitar, Proctor’s style includes an aspect of Americana in the echoes of Appalachian and old-timey style – but there are also elements of jazz, Celtic folk, and a dash of blues throughout his music. Running the gamut, Proctor guitar music reflects the whole heritage of the instrument yet still retains his own distinct stamp.

Jones classic, Things That Go Bump in the Night, a timeless record of haunted history and restless spirits in New York State. You will hear stories associated with the museum's buildings, such as the tale of a young ghost sighted by staff and guests in Bump Tavern and the mysterious early morning strikes on the blacksmith's anvil.

See a theatrical performance of Edgar Allan Poe’s haunting “The Tell-Tale Heart” that will leave you aghast.
