National Warplane Museum
Located on the grounds of the Geneseo Airport, visitors to the museum can even get a ride in an historic warplane!
Geneseo's National Warplane Museum is a warbird and military history museum located on the grounds of the Geneseo Airport. Founded in 1994, the museum restores, flies and displays vintage military aircraft from the Second World War and Korean War eras. Visitors can visit the hangar, touch the planes, take a seat in the cockpit and even get a ride in one of the historical plane!
Along with the warplanes, the museum hosts military vehicles and technology, many that were uses in World War II or the Vietnam war and several aircraft owned by the Military Aircraft Restoration Corporation.
The museum also hosts the annual Geneseo Airshow, billed as the “Greatest Show On Turf,” usually held in mid-July.
