Often called "The Crown Jewel of Lake Ontario," Sodus Bay is the largest bay on Lake Ontario and is well known for its excellent fishing for lake, brown and rainbow trout, salmon and steelhead, perch and walleye.

The charming "cottage" village of Sodus Point is located at the northern tip of the bay and likes to boast that it does not have a stop light in the entire village! While there, swim and sun on the inviting sandy beach at Sodus Point Beach Park and visit the historic Sodus Bay Lighthouse Museum.

The Sodus Bay area is the perfect place for boating, kayaking, swimming, picnicking, camping, hiking and biking while nearby are wineries, farm markets and antique stores along with marinas, cruises and fishing charters, quaint shops and restaurants.

Less than 10 miles east of Sodus Bay you’ll find the spectacular Chimney Bluff State Park  with large clay rock formations and spires overlooking Lake Ontario.
