Ithaca is renowned for its majestic waterfalls, spectacular landscape and scenic gorges
Located at the bottom tip of Cayuga Lake in the Finger Lakes, the city of Ithaca is renowned for its majestic waterfalls and spectacular landscape featuring lush rolling hills and scenic gorges. Come and see why they say "Ithaca is Gorges" and Ithaca "Falls for You." How could it not be with more than 150 waterfalls – from small cascades to thundering torrents that drop hundreds of feet – within 10 square miles funneling water through gorgeous gorges glacially carved out thousands of years ago !
Which means you can go to up to Cornell University, down to the Ithaca Commons, or head to one of the state parks, and you will undoubtedly come across one of Ithaca's waterfalls.
