Collage Plus!
Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

The Botanical Gardens consists of many indoor greenhouses that are interconnected.

When you visit the Botanical Gardens you will embark on a self guided tour throughout the greenhouses, each displaying a different exhibit and collection of plants.

There are also several seasonal outdoor gardens that are always free and open to the public. Visitors spend anywhere between 45-120+ minutes on their self guided tour.

Located on a 53-acre campus, the Catskill Fly Fishing Center & Museum includes the Welcome Center & Gift Shop, Museum & Fly Fishing Hall of Fame, the Wulff Gallery & Heritage Craft Center, a covered pavilion, casting fields, trail system, and access to the Willowemoc Creek. We welcome everyone to visit us , enjoy and learn more about the heritage of fly fishing and legacy of conservation in the Catskills.

Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival

Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival
The 2024 Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival will be held Thursday – Sunday, April 4 -7 in the Finger Lakes town of Geneva. Featuring more than 20 local, regional and internationally-renowned acts across nine stages, the festival is an annual favorite that draws jazz aficionados from near and far. Venues with performances on the schedule for the four-day event so far include the music venue FLX Live Events, hotel and restaurant Geneva-on-the-Lake, and several local breweries and wineries, including Brewery Ardennes, Ravines Wine Cellars, Watershed Brewing, White Springs Winery, Ventosa Vineyards, and Big aLICe Brewing. There will be several free performances to choose from during the afternoons, as well as ticketed concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and matinees on Saturday and Sunday. This event is a celebration of the late jazz bassist Scott Lafaro, a native of Geneva, and is organized by FLX Music 247 and FLIMA Productions.

Niagara Falls State Park offers prime, unobstructed views where guests can experience this solar event on April 8th in tandem with the beauty of the falls between 2-4:40 p.m., with totality occurring at 3:18 p.m. EST for about four minutes.

Scientists, experts, and astronauts from NASA will be stationed on-site in Niagara Falls from April 4-8th to host a series of exiting programming activities in preparation for the solar eclipse! All events will be free to the public with a complete schedule available on the official Niagara Falls eclipse landing page.

International Taste Festival

International Taste Festival
The annual International Taste Festival returns to the New York State Fairgrounds at the NYS Fairgrounds Center of Progress Building on Saturday, April 6, 2024 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The festival features foods from diverse regions, broken down into sections: Foods of the Americas, Asian Creations, Middle Eastern Treats, Pan African Cuisine, and Tastes of Europe. Vendors will be offering $2 samples, along with their regular items for purchase. In addition to the diverse array of foods and flavors, the event also includes a 5K/10K foot race, as well as cultural showcases and live performances from traditional dancers, musicians and martial artists from across the globe. Advance sale tickets are available online for $5 and at the door day-of for $10; kids under 10 are admitted for free.

Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival

Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival
The 2024 Scott Lafaro Geneva Jazz Festival will be held Thursday – Sunday, April 4 -7 in the Finger Lakes town of Geneva. Featuring more than 20 local, regional and internationally-renowned acts across nine stages, the festival is an annual favorite that draws jazz aficionados from near and far. Venues with performances on the schedule for the four-day event so far include the music venue FLX Live Events, hotel and restaurant Geneva-on-the-Lake, and several local breweries and wineries, including Brewery Ardennes, Ravines Wine Cellars, Watershed Brewing, White Springs Winery, Ventosa Vineyards, and Big aLICe Brewing. There will be several free performances to choose from during the afternoons, as well as ticketed concerts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening and matinees on Saturday and Sunday. This event is a celebration of the late jazz bassist Scott Lafaro, a native of Geneva, and is organized by FLX Music 247 and FLIMA Productions.

Collage Plus!
Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

Pianist Nicholas Hrynyk

Pianist Nicholas Hrynyk is returning to his hometown, Auburn NY, to perform at Willard Chapel. Nicholas studied at the Eastman School of Music, Indiana University, and New York University, and he has performed at Carnegie Hall, National Opera Center, Tenri Cultural Institute, Moulin d’Ande Cultural Center, Chautauqua Festival, and New York Fashion Week.

The concert will include the debut of Nicholas’ new original compositions as well as Moonlight Sonata by Beethoven and works by Chopin, Debussy, and Ravel.

Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

When you visit the Botanical Gardens you will embark on a self guided tour throughout the greenhouses, each displaying a different exhibit and collection of plants.

There are also several seasonal outdoor gardens that are always free and open to the public. Visitors spend anywhere between 45-120+ minutes on their self guided tour.

Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. Birds aren’t the only animals that migrate. Every spring, on the first warm rainy night, the mole salamanders emerge from their hidden homes to make the long journey to the vernal pool to reproduce. Join us for a night hike to the vernal pool to look for migrating salamanders. The evening will end with a campfire and a reading of the beautiful story “Big Night for Salamanders” by Sarah Lamstein.

Collage Plus!
Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

Birds aren’t the only animals that migrate. Every spring, on the first warm rainy night, the mole salamanders emerge from their hidden homes to make the long journey to the vernal pool to reproduce. Join us for a night hike to the vernal pool to look for migrating salamanders. The evening will end with a campfire and a reading of the beautiful story “Big Night for Salamanders” by Sarah Lamstein.

Cayuga Sax consists of saxophonists from the Cayuga County and adjacent areas. Such as, Carolyn Becker, Laura Fitzgerald, Robert Kalweit, Sue Slivan, Renee Mooneyhan and Laura Woodworth.
This event is a suggested $10 per person/party. The Chapel is handicap accessible through its north entrance off Seymour Street. Tickets are available at Willard Chapel, 17 Nelson Street, Auburn, NY during our regular hours Wednesday-Friday 11 AM – 4 PM or call 315-252-0339 to reserve seating.

Participants will construct a replica 9ft. Penn Yan “Aerodinghy” over seven two-day weekends. There are no age restrictions to take the course. A maximum of eight people are invited to register for each workshop in the series.

- March 23-24: Planking the Boat
- April 27-28: Canvassing
- May 25-26: Painting and Oar Making
- June 29-30: Lumbering Out the Boat
- August 3-4: Varnishing

The admission price will be $450 FLBM Members/$500 Non-members for the entire course or $65 FLBM Members/$75 Non-members per workshop.

Collage Plus!

Collage Plus!
Creating your own materials is an exciting part of mixed-media collage and mono-printing! This class at the Pelham Art Center will revolve around making your own collage papers and using them to create unique works of art. Students will experiment with different surface treatments, stamping, sanding, and embedding textures. We will be using watercolor and alcohol inks to create colorful, layered, mixed media, background papers for our collages. This course will introduce beginners to basic mixed media collaging concepts and provide intermediate students with some new techniques and best practices. No previous drawing, painting, or collaging experience necessary!

*The VIP Golf Cart Experience, where you will come after the farm is closed and take a custom tour led by one of our knowledgeable team members.
*A walking tour where you are welcome to stay for the day from 10am to 4pm. This includes unlimited time in the blossoms, kids' activities, and access to food, drinks, and shopping.
