This winter celebration of film has grown from a humble film-lover’s weekend to a community-wide celebration of filmmaking. Held in historic downtown Watertown, NY, the Snowtown Film Festival is virtual this year and features films from throughout the world that emphasize winter and the “North Country spirit." Short films were selected from more than 565 submitted from over 64 countries and includes a special “Our Great Lakes Connection," created through a partnership with the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, the Lake Ontario Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council and Thunder Bay International Film Festival. STFF will present five Great Lakes films accompanied by a live streaming panel discussion January 31 at 6:00pm.

STFF will present five Great Lakes films accompanied by a live streaming panel discussion January 31 at 6:00pm.

ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
Daniel Schroeder (b. 1991) is a painter who lives and works near Albany, New York. He was awarded a full tuition scholarship to The Cooper Union, where he received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014. He has been the recipient of numerous awards, and his work is in private collections around the country, as well as in the collection of the Albany Institute of Art.

Baltimore Woods Nature Center’s first exhibit of 2021, titled “Woodlands and Water”, is a collection of oil paintings by Jamesville artist Diane L. Menzies. Show dates are January 9 through February 27, and the public is invited to view the exhibit in person at the nature center by pre registering for a select Monday or Saturday through our website baltimorewoods.org or by calling 315-673-1350. A virtual exhibit can be accessed through the website after January 9 for those who prefer to enjoy the exhibit from home. All of the artwork is for sale both in person and through the website with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Baltimore Woods.
