Rondout Lighthouse

The last of three lighthouses marking the entrance to the Rondout Creek, the Rondout Lighthouse is still fully operational as a navigational light and one of only seven remaining on the Hudson River.

The last of three lighthouses marking the entrance to the Rondout Creek, the Rondout Lighthouse is still fully operational as a navigational light and one of only seven remaining on the Hudson River.
 

This brick lighthouse, completed and lit in 1915, is accessible only by boat, however, guided tours of the interior of the lighthouse are available seasonally.
 

Owned by the City of Kingston, the lighthouse is operated by the Hudson River Maritime Museum, who provides the boat ride and tour guides for the for visitors to explore this historic structure. Tours include the first floor all the way up to the observation deck around the light itself.
 

Please note: It is not handicap accessible and there are no restrooms at the lighthouse
