Built in 1852 and located in the heart of Kingston's Stockade district, the Old Dutch Church stands on the site of a 1600s Dutch Colonial village. It is the fourth building to serve a congregation that has existed since 1659, making it one of the oldest continuously existing congregations in the country. It is officially known as the First Reformed Protestant Dutch Church of Kingston.
Located outside the church is a historic cemetery as well as a monument to George Clinton, a Brigadier General in the Revolutionary War, the first governor of New York State, and Vice President under Thomas Jefferson and James Madison.
