Located on the grounds of the Roosevelt family estate, Springwood, the library was built under the President's personal direction in 1939-1940 and holds the 32nd President’s records.
 

An archive as well as a museum, this the first presidential library in the United States and is the only one used by a sitting president – FDR served from 1933-1945.
