Falling Waters Preserve
This riverfront, day-use park offers nature trails, a meadow with great views of the Catskills, a couple of picturesque waterfalls and rock ledges.
This riverfront, day-use park offers nature trails, a meadow with great views of the Catskills, a couple of picturesque waterfalls and rock ledges.
The preserve also boasts the remains of an old ice house that held 10,000 tons of ice “harvested” annually from the river and sent to New York City during warmer months in pre-refrigerator days.
Free and open year-round, sunrise to sunset, activities include dog walking (on leash), fishing, hiking, walking, wildlife watching, cross-country skiing & snowshoeing.
