This 1,972-acre park offers unsurpassed views of the Catskills and the Hudson Valley. Hikers and hunters enjoy this undisturbed green space while its centerpiece, Storm King Mountain along with Butter Hill, provide wide views of the river and surrounding areas.
Most often accessed at a parking area on U.S. Route 9W, the two mountains are connected by a trail which offers an immediate steep climb up Butter Hill followed by a longer and more relaxing hike to the summit of Storm King.
Please note, the park is undeveloped; there are no toilets and limited parking.
