Approximately 12 miles northeast of Old Forge, the rustic Adirondack town of Inlet is nestled at the east end of Fourth Lake, one of Adirondack's popular Fulton Chain of Lakes. Dubbed “the little town that could” since setting a Guinness World Record for creating a 3,150-boat floating raft, Inlet has been a hub of Adirondack tourism for more than a century.

With its waterfront location and surrounded by more than one million acres of lands within the six million-acre Adirondack Park, Inlet boasts a wide-range of activities, events and year-round beauty. Summer fun includes paddling, boating, swimming, hiking, biking, fishing and camping while winter brings snowmobile enthusiasts from far and wide to experience some of the best snowmobiling in New York State along with ice skating, skiing, sledding and snowshoeing.

Stroll through Inlet’s pristine downtown area to browse the charming and unique shops for that special gift or keepsake. Even dining in Inlet is an experience! The town’s eateries offer a variety of casual dining experiences, from lakeside dining to family-style diner selections and most are open year-round. The fun part is all are accessible by road or snowmobile and some are even accessible by boat!

But what Inlet is best known for is embracing its guests into its genuine sense of community, inviting them to share in its culture, relaxing pace and fun recreational adventures this beautiful waterfront town holds.
