Settled on the shores of exquisite Cazenovia Lake, the village of Cazenovia, in Madison County, was founded in 1793 by John Lincklaen, who built the Lorenzo Mansion  at the south end of the lake. Today, the village welcomes visitors to admire its historic architecture, quaint shops and galleries along with its natural beauty.

U.S. Route 20 – which runs through the village – is a scenic byway commonly referred to as America’s Main Street or the road across America. Before the advent of the Erie Canal, this route was the major transportation artery across New York State.

Cazenovia is also home to Cazenovia College, which is within walking distance of a variety of restaurants offering casual and fine dining, as well as coffee, pizza and sub shops. Charming shops, galleries and offices line Albany Street (U.S. Route 20) while historic and luxurious bed-and-breakfasts, like the Lincklaen House, Brae Loch and Brewster  beckon you in.
