Glens Falls was dubbed “Hometown USA” in 1944 by the editors of Look Magazine. This picturesque city boasts a fun-to-visit downtown, a vibrant craft brew scene (BullPen Tavern, right >) as well as a large waterfall at the southern end of the city. Its rich cultural offerings include the world-class art museum, The Hyde Collection, The Charles R. Wood Theater, home to the Adirondack Theatre Festival, and the 4,794-seat multi-purpose Cool Insuring Arena  which offers exciting hockey action, concerts, major extravaganzas, children’s theater and family-fun events.
 

 Along with its culture, history and sophistication, the region is dotted with tranquil farms, woodlands and more than 40 scenic lakes, including the 29-mile-long Great Sacandaga. While a drive through the area’s scenic beauty is impressive, there are also opportunities to see it by cruise ship or even in a hot air balloon.
