In existence for more than 30 years, the Oswego Music Hall offers mostly acoustical musicians every other Saturday night from September to June. On concert evenings, a large empty hall is transformed into an intimate venue replete with candlelit tables, professional staging and sound; as well as an array of freshly baked desserts, hot cider and freshly brewed coffee.
This week, Chris Proctor takes the Oswego Music Hall stage. Playing fingerstyle guitar, Proctor’s style includes an aspect of Americana in the echoes of Appalachian and old-timey style – but there are also elements of jazz, Celtic folk, and a dash of blues throughout his music. Running the gamut, Proctor guitar music reflects the whole heritage of the instrument yet still retains his own distinct stamp.
