The Holiday Tradition returns to the Auburn Public Theater stage!! The Auburn Players Community Theatre, in partnership with Auburn Public Theater and Harlequin Productions produce the beloved Holiday Classic: Scrooge: the Musical. Scrooge: the Musical is a stage adaptation of the classic 1970 film starring Albert Finney. Charles Dickens and his cast of more than 50 characters interact with residents and visitors in the streets, stores and restaurants. Holiday Traditions is an event that was created by the Seward House over 30 years ago as a token of appreciation to the Auburn community. Since that time, other local cultural attractions and sites have opened their doors to the public for free the second Sunday in December. Now, the “open house” is a tradition, and again this year, participation has expanded to include churches and other non-profit organizations.

In addition to enjoying homemade cookies and punch, visitors are encouraged to enjoy new Museum exhibits, view maritime themed holiday trees and see the model train village exhibition courtesy of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association and Museum. Santa Claus will arrive at 2:00 pm via US Coast Guard boat but there is no need to have your child wait in a long line to see him, as there will be crafts, festive stories and music to enjoy while you wait!

Masquerade at the Mansion

Ring in the New Year in style at Roberson’s Annual Masquerade in the Mansion happening December 31st – January 1st from 9 PM – 2 AM.

Guests of Masquerade in the Mansion will enjoy the celebration on multiple floors of the historic Roberson Mansion and, this year, our event will be bigger and better. Festivities include live music throughout the Mansion, multiple cash bars, fun and unusual entertainment – a psychic, a tarot card reader and a burlesque group - heavy hot and cold hors d'oeuvres, Home for the Holidays displays and a champagne toast at midnight from Great Western Winery.

The New Year’s Eve celebration is a fundraising benefit for Roberson Museum and Science Center. The event is for ages 21 and up. Evening wear and masks are requested.
