The Music Hall presents one of Central New York’s premier performing string bands, The Ruddy Well Band. The band has roots in Americana, Folk, and Rock with strong harmonies and high energy driving rhythms, occasionally giving way to melodic ballads.

In existence for more than 30 years, the Oswego Music Hall offers mostly acoustical musicians every other Saturday night from September to June. On concert evenings, a large empty hall is transformed into an intimate venue replete with candlelit tables, professional staging and sound; as well as an array of freshly baked desserts, hot cider and freshly brewed coffee.

The H. Lee White Maritime Museum at Oswego presents the first installment the 2018 History Lecture Series featuring Randy Marshall. Marshall will provide a brief presentation on the history of maritime art and will also be displaying pieces from his own collection in the Museum’s art gallery – some of which originated in Oswego.

Further included in this event is the opportunity for the visiting public to bring pieces from their own collections to be evaluated by Marshall. Marshall has been a Central New York-based antiquarian map, print, and art dealer for the past 25 years and has a special interest in nautical art.

The Music Hall features Long Island-based singer/songwriter, Kirsten Maxwell, for their season finale. Maxwell has toured extensively in the U.S., released one album and recorded an EP, won a number of songwriting competitions and performed at festivals on the East Coast and in Texas – all without the help of label, agent, or manager. Her grassroots following doubled in the past year and the expected release of her new self-titled EP has her fans on the edge of their seats. In December, Kirsten opened for rock icon Melissa Etheridge. She has also shared stages with Bill Staines, Michael Johnson, Slaid Cleaves, Vance Gilbert, and Nicole Atkins.

This event is a fundraiser for Phoenix Philosophies, an organization that purchases and renovates homes to house homeless veterans in Syracuse. It is also a food drive to help feed the area’s homeless and the festival will be collecting non-perishable food items.

Oswego’s third annual "Waterfront Open House,” presented by The H. Lee White Maritime Museum, helps to promote fun activities on Oswego’s waterfront and kickoff National Safe Boating Week.

This free event will allow families to visit the museum, experience a dragon boat up close, get the feel of sitting in a kayak, try out a virtual boat training simulator provided by the U.S. Power Squadron and find out about other fun events to be held this summer.

The museum’s vessels will also be open for visitation including the National Historic Landmark WWII Tugboat, “LT-5” and the National Register barge, “Derrick Boat 8.” Search and rescue demonstrations will be conducted by the U.S. Coast Guard Oswego station, the Oswego Fire Department's Fire/Rescue vessel "Marine One" will be on hand along with a variety of safe boating and water safety information.

The Museum and Treasure Chest Gift Shop are open every day from 1-5 pm with expanded hours July and August from 10-5 pm.

The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum will salute the start of the 2018 summer season with this Cooperstown tradition - Hall of Fame Classic Weekend! This baseball-filled weekend, now in its ninth year, features recently retired MLB players representing the Major League clubs who have joined the roster and participate in the Classic and weekend events.

The Hall of Fame Classic, presented by Ford Motor Company, is a seven-inning legends game featuring Hall of Famers and former major leaguers.The Classic, fueled by assistance from MLB, features the pre-game Home Run Contest with the first pitch of the Classic slated for 1:05 p.m. Hall of Famers Phil Niekro and Ozzie Smith return as team captains and managers. They will be joined by other Hall of Famers who will serve as coaches for the teams.

Weekend events include a baseball clinic for kids aged 7-12, the Legends Hitting Contest, BASE Race, Night at the (Baseball) Museum and more!
