August of 2023 marks the inaugural year of a new music festival at the Catskills’ Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, the historic site where Woodstock was held in 1969. Catbird Music Festival, which will take place on Saturday and Sunday, August 19 and 20, 2023, will feature live music from more than 20 performers over the course of a two-day festival experience.
The musical focus of the festival is on Americana and folk indie, with both internationally known acts and up-and-coming indie artists on the docket. The lineup includes The Lumineers, The War on Drugs, Band of Horses, Trampled by Turtles, Margo Price, James Bay, Johnnyswim, Adia Victoria, 49 Winchester, Briscoe, and John R. Miller on Saturday, followed by Tyler Childers, Trey Anastasio Band, Dispatch, Charley Crockett, Amos Lee, Morgan Wade, Celisse, Allison Russell, The Soul Rebels, Eggy, and Madeline Edwards on Sunday.
In addition to the bands, there will be a diverse array of food and beverage vendors on site, including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, and everything from craft beverages and specialty cocktails to non-alcoholic offerings. One- and two-day tickets are available, with options for VIP and platinum upgrades, and attendees can come for the day or choose from several on-site camping options for the weekend. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.catbirdmusicfestival.com/.
