Knox Farm State Park is the former country estate of Buffalo's renowned Knox Family and is located adjacent to the historic village of East Aurora, the former home of Millard Fillmore.
The park's 633 acres are comprised of a variety of habitats, including 400 acres of grasslands (pastures and hayfields) and 100 acres of woodlands, ponds and several wetland areas. The Knox Farm is located within the park and is still home to a number of farm animals, including horses, sheep, goats, llamas and chickens. It also features exhibits of historical and natural interest.
Observe the wildlife by hiking, cross-country skiing or even on horseback (by permit only) through a number of scenic nature trails; bicycles are also permitted in certain areas. Nature walks and programs are offered through the National Audubon Society and by New York State Park naturalists.
PET POLICY: Household pets are welcome but must be leashed.
