Explore the Greenburgh Nature Center and See the Replica of a Native American Village
The Greenburgh Nature Center offers nature trails for hiking, a pond, an organic garden, a nature-themed playground and the Manor House featuring a Live Animal Museum and indoor and outdoor exhibits.
The Greenburgh Nature Center is a 33-acre woodland preserve offers nature trails for hiking, a pond, an organic garden, a nature-themed playground and the Manor House featuring a Live Animal Museum and indoor exhibits. The preserve also houses more than 100 rescued and rehabilitated animal and their outdoor animal exhibits include birds of prey, a butterflyarbor and beehives.
The site also is home to a Native American Replica Village where visitors can see the designs and techniques used 6,000 years ago by Eastern Woodland Indians. Set on two sites, the village includes a life-sized wigwam, longhouse, dugout canoe and hide drying rack.
The nature center hosts interesting and family-fun events and programs are hosted year-round.
