Beacon is home to one of the largest exhibition spaces in the country for modern and contemporary art, Dia:Beacon’s Riggio Gallery. Situated on the Hudson River, the art museum enjoys 160,000 square feet of the former Nabisco box-printing facility.
Dia Beacon is the museum for the Dia Art Foundation's collection of art from the 1960s to the present. Along with a permanent collection, Dia:Beacon also displays temporary exhibitions, as well as public programs and events designed to complement the collection and exhibitions.
