Cobblestone Museum
This National Historic Landmark is rooted in the history of cobblestone masonry and has served as the center for everything "cobblestone" for more than 50 years. The open-air museum is comprised of seven historic buildings featuring cobblestone masonry from the 1800s.
Cobblestone Museum is highlighted by a school, a church (the oldest cobblestone church in North America) and a parsonage highlight along with four wooden buildings that include a working blacksmith shop, print shop, harness shop and a Farmers’ Hall with an exhibit of 19th century farm tools).
Guided tours are offered during hours and by appointment.
Did you know that 90% of all cobblestone structures in America are located within 75 miles of Rochester, New York and more than 900 cobblestone buildings were built in New York State between 1825 and 1860. (https://www.facebook.com/pg/thecobblestonemuseum/about/?ref=page_internal)
