Discover Winter at Minna Anthony Common Nature Center

Once snow falls, the nature center's hiking trails are transformed into wonderful ski and snowshoe trails and kki and snowshoe rentals are available

The Minna Anthony Common Nature Center is one of the largest nature centers in the state park system and in New York State. Poised on a pristine 600-acre peninsula of Wellesley Island in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, the nature center offers 8 miles of hiking trails with scenic vistas of the Thousand Islands.


Once snow falls, the nature center's hiking trails are transformed into wonderful ski and snowshoe trails. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available at the Nature Center. Visitor's should watch for special wildlife sightings of bald eagles on Eel Bay from late November to early January and again in late March.
