Just 19.6 miles from Hudson in the Catskills, this ski resort is located on Mount Fray of the Taconic Mountains in Hillsdale, NY.
 

First opened for business in 1939 with three rope tows, Catamount Ski Area now offers 7 lifts in all: 1 quad chairlift, 1 triple chairlift, 2 double chairlifts and 3 wonder carpet surface lifts. The ski area also features 36 trails and terrain park areas for all ages of ability.
 

Snowboarding is also available and the Terrain Parks offer jumps, hits, ramps, banks, fun boxes, jibs, rails, half pipes, quarter pipes, snowcross, bump terrain, and other constructed or natural terrain features.


Straddling the NY / Massachusetts border just about 2 hours from NYC, Catamount also features North America's longest zip line, one of the largest aerial adventure parks on the East coast and whitewater rafting trips in Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
