Allegany State Park in Winter
The park also features campsites and 144 cabins, 128 of them winterized
With more than 65,000 acres, Allegany State Park is the largest state park in New York State.
While visitors flock to the park in the summer for hiking, biking and water fun, the winter also offers exciting activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling. The groomed snowmobile trails also double as horseback riding trails in the summer. And bird watchers can be on the lookout for more than 200 species of birds in Alleghany State Park, including bald eagles and osprey - even in the winter!
The park also features campsites and 144 cabins, 128 of them winterized.
Family pets are allowed on leashes and with proof of rabies vaccination.
