This historic house and museum complex boasts a distinguished collection of art, featuring Old Masters, 19th-Century European and American art, and Modern and Contemporary art.

The museum's founders, Louis and Charlotte Hyde, acquired the majority of objects during a 50-year period and many of these works are displayed in their home, as well as in galleries in the education wing, combining the intimacy of an historic house with the sophistication of a modern art museum complex.

Open year-round, The Hyde Collection features changing exhibitions in its five gallery spaces, as well as lectures, concerts, family activities, education programs, and school and group tours.
