The "Inner Harbor" of Buffalo is set on 21 historic waterfront acres, and Canalside Park and is considered the crown jewel of the City. It hosts more than 1,000 events (many of them free) every year that attract hundreds of thousands of visitors, and the harbor also boasts more than 1,000 feet of dock space for boats visiting via the Buffalo River.
Every summer, outdoor yoga, children’s games and concerts take placewhile during the winter, the 35,000-square-foot rink features skating, curling, pond hockey and ice bikes. Just across the street, HARBORCENTER attracts hockey players from around the world by hosting amateur and college tournaments at its two NHL sized rinks.
This waterfront park is also home to America’s largest inland Naval park, the Buffalo and Erie County Naval & Military Park and the observation tower at the Erie Basin Marina offers stunning, one-of-a-kind views of Buffalo and Canada.
The nearby Outer Harbor features miles of bike trails and lakefront parks and fishing abounds throughout both the inner and outer harbors. You can also rent a kayak or waterbike and there are exciting cruise options available from the dock.
