Grover Cleveland Golf Course
This is the only public golf facility in North America to be designed by two of the most famous golf architects of the early 20th century
Grover Cleveland Golf Course is a 5,621-yard, par 69 course and is the site of the original Country Club of Buffalo, which was host to the 1912 U.S. Open. It is the only public golf facility in North America to be designed by two of the most famous golf architects of the early 20th century, Walter J. Travis and Donald Ross.
Of the 18 holes, nine of the original Travis “1912 Open” holes still exist (today’s 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th holes) and the course is noted for its very difficult green complexes designed by Ross, including the 3rd, 14th, 17th and 18th holes.
Tee times are available seven days a week.
The golf course is part of the Erie County Parks system.
