This iconic 1833 Buffalo Lighthouse was first lit in 1833 and served until 1914 and was the second of four lights marking the main entrance to Buffalo Harbor.

Located within the Buffalo Outer Harbor, the historic lighthouse site is the focal point of Lighthouse Point Park. Open weekends, the site offers informational and historic signs and artifact displays, scenic views and lighthouse tower tours by appointment.

Group tours may be scheduled at buffalolightshines@gmail.com, subject to availability on days the tower is not open for general admission. Groups tours have more time to view the panoramic Buffalo waterfront vista from the premier view atop the 1833 lighthouse.

Note: Restrooms can be found to the south in Wilkeson Pointe Park, also in the Outer Harbor.
