Housed in a 1838 Cobblestone Schoolhouse, the Livingston County Historical Society Museum boasts 200 years of stories and collections from towns in Livingston County. The museum also is host to an extensive collections and exhibits including Native American artifacts, agricultural and household objects, military items, old toys, a Concord Coach and antique fire equipment.
The Cobblestone Schoolhouse is a contributing structure within the Geneseo National Historic Landmark District and became the Livingston County Museum in 1932. The first museum, a log cabin built in 1895, still stands in its original location in the Village Park in Geneseo. The Willard Hose Building, built circa 1890s, is a former fire cart building and was relocated to museum site in 1989.
The museum also hosts events open to the public as well as student educational programs.
