Built circa 1866, this former general store today houses a museum and the stone structure is billed as the last remaining waterfront landmark of the 19th century in Alexandria Bay.
The museum features both permanent and changing exhibits depicting river life, boating, local settlers, early trade and commerce. There is also a gift shop and gallery presentations and special events are hosted in July and August.
The building was placed in the National Registry of Historic Places in 1975 and the New York Register of Historic Places in 1991.
