Shaker Heritage Society
Visit the 1856 Drying House and other buildings that were used to produce Shaker products for sale to the outside world
This site of the first Shaker community features a museum in 1848 meeting, nine historic buildings, an herb garden and walking trails. There is also a gift shop.
Visitors can learn about Shaker entrepreneur-ship, their industries and how they made use of the Erie Canal. Visit the 1856 Drying House and other buildings that were used to produce Shaker products for sale to the outside world.
Guests are welcome to walk the grounds from dawn to dusk and dogs are welcome provided they are cleaned up after.
