Located on the eastern shore of Lake Ontario, Sandy Island Beach State Park has a 1,500-foot natural sandy beach perfect for swimming and relaxing. The park's facilities include several lake swimming areas with lifeguards (in season), changing rooms, restrooms and a concession stand.


Sandy Island Beach State Park is part of the Eastern Lake Ontario Dune and Wetland System, a 17-mile stretch which extends from the Town of Richland in Oswego County north along Lake Ontario to Jefferson County.
