A historic center for civil rights and social justice, home to abolitionists Frederick Douglass and Susan B. Anthony, drawing visitors from all over to such places as the Susan B. Anthony House and the 230-acre Mt. Hope-Highland Historic District, where both are laid to rest. And photography and history buffs alike will love The George Eastman Museum, the world’s oldest photography museum. Located on the estate of George Eastman, the historic mansion and gardens provide a glimpse into the life of one of the greatest American innovators.


And you will want to bring your kids! They will love the Strong/National Museum of Play, home to the National Toy Halls of Fame, and the Seneca Park Zoo, featuring the only African elephants, white rhinos, and Bornean orangutans in New York State.
