As the seasons change and many trees lose their leaves, the shapes of evergreens strongly contrast with the surrounding landscape. This is a great time to compare the structure of trees in various habitats by sketching them. In this program, we will explore the trails, draw trees and perhaps a few evergreen ferns that we meet along the way, and learn how field sketching can help to deepen our observation skills.
This program is designed for adults.
Please note that this program will involve a brief hike on moderately hilly terrain. Drawing materials will be provided, including waterproof sketching paper if necessary. Please dress for the weather and bring a portable camp chair if you have one.
