Located near the village of Mayville, this is the only DEC hatchery currently raising pure strain muskellunge, which are obtained from netting and egg collection on Chautauqua Lake and in some other waters. Pond-reared walleye fingerlings are also grown at this hatchery.
 

The facility’s total production is 3,300 pounds annually. It is open Monday through Friday from Memorial Day to Labor Day.
