Perched atop a hill, Betty and Wilbur Davis State Park provides spectacular views to the south and west and is bedecked with a forest of hardwoods, areas of conifer plantation, gently rolling meadowlands and two ponds. With these expansive views and tranquil surroundings, this 229-acre state park is a favorite among birdwatchers and nature lovers.
On-site facilities include a picnic area, sunset pavilion picnic shelter, cabins for rent, an extensive network of hiking trails and a woodland stream. Along with birdwatching and nature hikes, the park offers catch-and-release fishing and winter activities like cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobile trails that connect to the state corridor trail system.
The park is located just a short drive from Cooperstown, home of the National Baseball Hall of Fame. Leashed, household pets welcome during day use only; pets are not allowed in cottages.
