The Chapman Historical Museum preserves and presents the history of the Glens Falls, Queensbury community and the city’s connection to the Adirondack region.
Located in downtown Glens Falls, which is nestled on the southeastern edge of the Adirondack Mountains, the museum features the restored Victorian home of the DeLong family, exhibits about the history of the Glens Falls area, a research archive and gift shop.
The museum also highlights the 19th-century Adirondack photographs of Seneca Ray Stoddard, an American landscape photographer known for his photographs of the Adirondack Mountains. He was also a naturalist, a writer, a poet, an artist, and a cartographer whose writings and photographs helped to popularize the Adirondacks.
The museum is also host to many events and programs throughout the year.
