Grafton Lakes State Park
Long Pond showcases a large, sandy beach, making it popular summer attraction for the Albany area
Nearly 2,500 acres, Grafton Lakes State Park is situated between the Taconic and Hudson Valleys and features six ponds. All of the ponds are abundant with fish and have launch facilities for canoes, sailboats and rowboats and electric boats. Long Pond showcases a large, sandy beach, making it popular summer attraction for the Albany area.
Guests to the park can also picnic, walk the nature trails, and hike, bike or ride horses along the 25 miles of park trails. In winter, the trails are groomed for snowmobilers, and visitors may also snowshoe, cross-country ski, ice skate or ice fish when conditions permit.
Other amenities at this year-round state park include a playground, pavilions, picnic tables and showers.
Household pets only; caged or on a leash. Not permitted in buildings or bathing areas.
