In 1930, Proctors hosted the first public demonstration of television with the help of General Electric.
Many famous artists have performed there, notably Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Hal Holbrook, Ted Wiles, and George Burns, as well as many others.
This elaborately beautiful theater also has one of the largest movie screens in the Northeast.
