Established in 1853, this open-air museum features a lovely 19th-century Victorian garden cemetery situated on 50 gracious acres of winding drives, lawns, shrubs and trees.

Take a peaceful stroll through the cemetery on the interactive “cemetrail” tour to admire the beauty of the headstones as well as the impressive diverse species of trees.

Cortland Rural Cemetery also has a hillside section solely devoted to veterans and their spouses. It is still a working cemetery with plots available.
