Ranked among the top 10 percent of zoos in the country, the 43-acres Rosamond Gifford Zoo is open year round and is home to more than 700 animals of all shapes and sizes.
The zoo boasts unique viewing opportunities for all of its animals, including a submarine cave for exploring a wide variety of fish, reptiles, amphibians; a bird aviary and outdoor bird community; a lion corridor; their Social Building featuring lemurs, monkeys, apes and more; Penguin Coast; Asian elephant preserve; wildlife trails and their Domestic Animal Barn for a hands-on experience.
Fun adult and family events are hosted year-round at the zoo.
